Sunrise Hyderabad lost their match against Gujarat Titans yesterday. Sunrise Hyderabad still have two matches left but if they win both matches they will not be knocked out. Points are definitely needed to qualify for the knockouts but their current points of 8 are the lowest. Even if they win the remaining two matches, they will not be able to go to the knockout stage. Hyderabad don't have these points but if they could have won the match against Gujarat Titans, their points would have increased a bit. But it is no use for Sunrise Hyderabad to play their two matches as unfortunately they have to go back from ipl 2023 before the knockout stage.
Gujarat Titans became the first team in IPL to make the playoffs, while Sunrise Hyderabad failed to make the playoffs this season. Sunrise Hyderabad have two more matches against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. Even if Sunrise Hyderabad wins the next two matches, they will not be able to secure the knockout stage as they will have 12 points in which they will not be able to move to the best fourth place in the points table. So all the chances of Sunrise Hyderabad playing the knockout stage in this year's IPL are over.
