I've heard Ronaldo has such a clause. But I think Ronaldo will not be effective anymore if he plays with Newcastle in the UCL. He is too old and slow. I think the Newcastle coach has to have the courage to take the best decision if he is right to go to Newcastle after they enter the UCL zone. In addition, Newcastle need several players to be able to compete in Europe.
If you look at his age, then it is true that he is old and slowing down. But when we look at his ability and hard work I don't think it's a problem for him to come back to the Champions League to help Newcastle. I think if he can have a coach who understands what he is capable of and capitalizes on it he will do well. But when he left Real Madrid to join Juventus and most recently Manchester United, he couldn't show his best because maybe the strategy he adopted didn't really suit him.
Newcastle won the game with a landslide score of 4-1, they managed to create distance from Manchester United and Liverpool. They scored 2 goals in the first half, Brighton tried to reduce the position in the second half and managed to score 1 goal, but Newcastle managed to score 2 more goals in the final minutes and succeeded in locking in their victory in this match.
Actually I expected Newcastle to drop points in their game, but instead they managed to win the game by a landslide as well. I hope they drop points because I want Liverpool to have more chances to finish in the top 4.
Apart from all that, indeed Newacastle deserves to win this match with their good performance. Meanwhile, Liverpool themselves will face Aston Villa this week, and I hope they get maximum points.
