Milan are going to play their most comfortable fixture of the season tomorrow. It is a home match against Sampdoria which have already relegated from the Serie A. It would be a huge surprise if Milan somehow manage to lose points here as a result. Milan are out of the Champions League as well so they have only one goal left which is to finish the season in top four here at least.
They will hope for at least one of Lazio - Inter duo to lose points on the same week of course. We are three weeks away from the end of the season so this is one of the critical weeks for Milan side to make it there. But their job is still pretty difficult.
AC Milan has important left matches if want qualify to Champion League spot standing next season, has opportunity to make close position with Lazio have 4 points remaining. Facing the relegation team, Sampdoria should be easy for Milan winning this games but seems difference last several games has inconsistent performance. Milan on difficult position right now remaining 4 points left with Lazio and has matches left against Juventus, they need winning all matches left if want back to Champion League spot position and Lazio has loss points on their three matches left actually against Inter Milan.
Regarding last season, Milan has poor performance in this season not only failure in Champion League but also they will loss Champion League spot standing if three matches left can't has better performance.
Currently, AC Milan would have to win all their remaining league fixtures of the season and hope that either Lazio drops 5 points or Inter drops 6 points respectively to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League competition and that I think will be very difficult for the to achieve.
Lazio had had a good campaign in the league and would do anything possible to make sure they finish the season in the top four position while Inter who beat AC Milan to qualify for the UCL final, would also want to finish the season in the top four position
Five points are lot a few amounts of points especially when we are talking about Lazio and there are only three matches left which means nine points Lazio had a good performance recently and that's why I don't expect to see Lazi lose points to let Ac Milan take their place because they want to get the ticket for the next champions league.
