The temporary score for the match between Lyon against Monaco ended in a 1-1 draw at half time and even though Monaco is playing away, but Monaco has a better statistical record, at least Monaco is better at making attacks. Thus, at least Monaco will still be safe in fifth place to secure Europa League tickets next season.
Meanwhile, if I compare Lyon and Monaco so far this season, the fact is that these two teams have records that are not much different for home and away matches. But their position is quite tenuous in the Ligue 1 standings and therefore, a draw seems to be a decent result for this match.

This match ended with a score of 3-1, Lyon success to secure three points against Monaco, now with this winning Lyon have 59 points in standings, and they have the same points with Rennes. Although Monaco was better in the first half, but somehow in the second half Lyon was better. Lyon had 7 shots on target out of 15 shots attempts in second half, and Monaco only can had 2 shots on target out of 4 shots attempts.

Lyon had a bad result against Clermont Clermont is not a strong team to beat Lyon but they lost important there points against this team. Also, I don't think if Lyon got any hope for the game against Monaco in the next game because they can't get any ticket for the next Europa League and there is no hope for them against a team like Monaco because of the past results they got.

Lyon did not perform well against Clermont. I wouldn't even say that Lyon's players performed poorly. Unfortunately Lyon lost 2-1. But Lyon attacked a lot. Clermont won because their defenders performed brilliantly in this match.
Lyon's players made no mistakes against Monaco. Lyon was well aware of Monaco's strong team. And this is why Lyon played attacking from the beginning of the match. And in the end, the team was able to win the match 3-1. But while this match was important for Monaco, there was no important match for Lyon. Despite earning full points in this match, the Lyon team's position is seventh in the points table.

The thing is Clermont is a weak team and compared to Monaco they don't have a strong team to stand against a team like Lyon but in the end, Lyon lost the match against Clermont with a 2-1 result and I could predict see that coming up for that match while Lyon won the game against Monaco with 3-1 and I was expecting to see Lyon losing that game.
