Haaland has a tall and strong body, and that way it will make it easy for Haaland to win the duel. So, I personally don't see whether or not Haaland is suitable to play at Manchester City, because after all every player will try to adapt and that way, the player will get the right gameplay as instructed by the coach.
But apart from that, I just don't think Pep Guardiola didn't apply maximum gameplay in the first leg, because the draw in the first leg makes us have a perspective on Real Madrid, which at least still has a chance to win. But the truth is, Manchester City can beat Real Madrid by a terrific score in the decider to qualify for the final in the second leg.
In the case of Haaland the answer is quite easy and obvious and doesn't need a lot of thinking and analysis. If a player breaks goal scorer records in the Premier League, there is no need to discuss whether he fits into the team and whether it works out. The numbers speak for themselves. But there is still a strategic element that changes in the game of Manchester City when you play with Haaland instead of another creative player filling the center forward position.
With Haaland you have another option, which is cross balls. That wasn't so popular for Manchester City because they didn't have this striker with superior physique. Now they do and he is good at almost everything. Maybe one small weakness he has is the one vs. one dribbling attacks. I wouldn't say his technique is bad only because it looks a bit stiff sometimes, but he is not the high speed dribble guy who is taking opponents one on one all the time.
