The sole purpose of adding Lionel Messi to the PSG team was to do well in the Champions League. But the PSG team's midfielders and defense have been very bad this season. And Lionel Messi has so far failed to adapt himself to the PSG team. And just like the previous season, PSG has been knocked out of the Champions League this time.
I always said that if you can't build a "team" then having great players mean nothing, you should be able to turn all those talented players into a single unified team, if you can do that then even worse teams do better as we have seen so far. PSG is a great talent pool and they have great players but those players do not play like a team and have trouble even among each other let alone with the coach.
I think if they can get another coach, someone who could actually win UCL with this roster, then the roster could be enough to win it, there is no denying that. This season I assumed they would go further but they lost as soon as they got out of the group stages, I believe they are not going to be really posing any threat to anyone as long as they do not fix the issues within.
