The relationship between Africa and the Western world has been complex and controversial, and accusations of hypocrisy are not uncommon. Some argue that the Western world has historically exploited Africa's resources and people, while claiming to promote democracy, human rights, and development.

One example of this is the legacy of colonialism, which left many African countries with a legacy of economic and political instability. Despite the end of formal colonization, some argue that Western countries have continued to exert influence over African nations through economic policies, aid, and military intervention.

Critics also argue that Western countries have often turned a blind eye to human rights abuses committed by African leaders who are seen as strategic allies. At the same time, Western countries have been quick to condemn human rights abuses in African countries that are not seen as strategic partners.

That's are your thoughts?
I don't dispute your claims @OP but am tired of seeing Africans continue blaming Europeans for their misfortune. The main problem in Africa are Africans. European nations might be exploiting Africa but we have failed to maximize the resources or finance at our disposal. African leaders and even citizens are good wasters. We want to own many houses, buy many cars, and live a flamboyant life by stealing from our fellow countrymen. This money would have been used to provide basic infrastructure to develop the continent.

If you are a government official and refuse to steal to become rich, you will be seen as a stupid man but corrupt officials are given national awards and celebrated by the public because corruption is now acceptable in our society. Europeans cannot steal from Africa without the help or collaboration of Africans. Other continents were also colonized but they have developed more than African counties because they want change. Let Africans stop pointing at the Europeans as the architect of their misery because Africans are the true enemies of Africa. Please these are my thoughts.

But didn't a question come to your mind about how the Africans reached their current state of corruption and endless conflicts over resources and governance? Who contributed to the distortion of the history of these peoples since the end of the slavery regime in Europe and the emergence of feudalism? Isn't Britain the empire on which the sun never sets and France has the most colonies in Africa? Then came imperialism to continue draining what remained of the resources of the originally oppressed countries. Did you know that during the Second World War, all African countries (except for Liberia) were colonized by the forces fighting in the war, and they even made it a battlefield in a conflict that they had no involvement in at all.
How can all these historical factors be overlooked? What do you expect from those peoples after everything that happened and is happening hundreds of years ago? Doesn't this sound like a systematic process of destruction to you? And not one of those colonial countries during the past era made an apology, even in a formal way, to any of the countries that colonized it. (With the exception of Libya, which succeeded in obtaining an official apology and compensation for the colonial era from Italy)

I do not want to be in the position of the blind defender in what looks like fanaticism, so I must admit that the Western colonial empires (Europe in particular) made civilizations from the sources of the rest of the continents, including Asia and America, and not only Africa, but Africa is the worst, since the countries of the rest of the continents It began to rise and become independent from dependence on Europe.
