This is true especially on the giveaway side. Bot are being used in every industry and crypto giveaway is no new to it as it is being abused long time ago. I personally don't join giveaways on social media since I don't even have chance to win against those who are using multi account with bots. Though casino/projects are getting a benefit from it by having more traction with their post and making other that are unaware to join the promotion that is being advertised. There are good and bad side of bot especially on cryptocurrency but yeah I don't think it's a good thing that people are just abusing casino promotions.
This bots is a kill joy on giveaway that winner is determine through random selection which most giveaways is using this kind of format. The existence of bot account become widespread during the bounty campaign and airdrop craze. They become rampant on joining this free money since the manager is not checking thoroughly all the applicants accounts and work.
Social media promotion especially on Twitter should be revised and introduced a new format that will restrict this bot to enter the campaign. Promo code drop is the worst since it claimed fast.
Yes, they use bots to win a prize, they don't care whether what they do will harm other users or not, the most important thing is that they get what they want. Indeed, in this case the user is not disadvantaged financially, but they are disadvantaged because with lots of bots it will increase the opportunities for the bot user, even though all those who take part in a give away or similar have the same chance to win.
In this case those who hold contests or something like that must really have a way that will prevent bots from having trouble entering. It's not easy, but at least it can reduce the number of people who want to profit themselves.
This bot thingy problem exist for a long time. I doubt casino is tryingmto solve it since they are benefiting from it to boost their engagement with their post even its not organic. Only normal players like us that can’t win due tomthis cheaters are complaining and only few gave their sentiment so this problem doesn't address properly.
Airdrops on crypto is still can’t solve this no matter how hard they requirements since cheater will always find a way to cheat and take advantage on free money. Ignoring the giveaway is one way to let our mind calm down or just participate but don't expect to win.
