Inter Milan has one big advantage over Manchester City and that is that they have Croatian player in their team.

I don't know if people know but last 10 Champions League winners all had at least 1 Croatian player in their team and it will be interesting to see if that tradition continues this year as well.

2013 Bayern won with Mandzukic
2014 Real won with Modric
2015 Barcelona won with Rakitic
2016 Real won with Modric and Kovacic
2017 Real won with Modric and Kovacic
2018 Real won with Modric and Kovacic
2019 Liverpool won with Lovren
2020 Bayern with Perisic
2021 Chelsea won with Kovacic
2022 Real won with Modric
2023?
As much as I want to buy this idea I still find it difficult to agree that this philosophy will have an impact on the result of this season's final game between Manchester City and Inter Milan, with or without a Croatian player on either team the best team of the day will conquer the day and if Manchester City decide to underestimate Inter Milan they might be in for a shock.
The odds are obviously high in favour of the English club, but I am sure that Pep Guardiola would not use that as a gauge of how this would turn out. Like what I know him for, all matches are to be played as if it's the last one ever, so I believe underestimating the Italian team can't be part of his thought right now. How to play more and be impressive on the pitch would be his target, and thankfully, he has a better team and the many youngsters over there would be desperate to write the winning in their Bios, so I trust that they will give their best on that day. Less than 2 weeks now and it's still counting, I am patiently waiting...
