Gujarat Titans had the best players and they were the heavy favorites with the best bowlers in Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami, the inform batsman in Shubman Gill while Chennai Super Kings was winning because of their tactical game plans and the genius of MSD, promoting Ajinkya Rahane as a pinch hitter along with Shivam Dube and grooming the youngster Maheesh Theekshana.

Just compare the two squads and you can see that Gujarat Titans were much stronger (at least on paper). Out of the 12 players in Gujarat playing XI (including the impact substitute), 7 were regular internationals - Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, David Miller, Josh Little, Noor Ahmad and Mohammed Shami. On the other hand, Chennai squad had only 4 regulars - Devon Conway, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Maheesh Theekshana. In the end, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was able to lead Chennai Super Kings to a victory, despite majority of the CSK players being inexperienced.

Yes, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, David Miller and Mohammed Shami are some of the best players in this team as well as in this tournament. Compared to them, CSK looked very weak. But the team had confident because of Mahendra Singh Dhani. When the 2nd innings started CSK was playing confidently and they scored according to their need. But the cricket world realized that CSK was under a lot of pressure in the end but having much pressure CSK won the final match. Although Devon Conway was considered player of the match after CSK's win but Shubman Gill was the player of the series.

Shubman Gill is a very good player it has to be acknowledged. Because he has been seen playing very well in every match. But unfortunately even with a player like Shubman Gill, Gujarat lost the IPL by Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method. It is normal that one team will lose and one team will win in the game but sometimes it becomes very difficult to accept some results. Because even though Gujarat performed very well, going to the final and losing like this is not easy to accept

Gujarat played IPL final against CSK after Shubman Gill performed well. With 10 runs needed off the last two balls, Shubman Gill had nothing to do. It is normal to lose in the game. Based on the performance of the two teams in the final match, we cannot say which team performed worse than the other team.

We can't blame Mohit Sharma as he conceded just three runs off the first four balls of the last over but the last two balls changed the outcome of the game.

First of all the rain in the match caused a lot of problems and the match had to be delayed. Due to not playing at the right time, the preparation of the players has also been disrupted. But Gujarat played well and gave Chennai the target with good runs. But Gujarat lost on DLS method. Most of the players from Gujarat are capable of playing very good cricket. So it is possible for them to do something good. Which will definitely do in the future. India is very good at cricket so good things can be expected from them
