To be honest, I think the voting system should be changed as it's really funny at the moment (because some of the pizzas on display are culinary arts). But at the same time, these pizzas did not receive due attention. I see that in the discord all pizzas got 1 vote each while two pizzas got 10 votes each (to be honest I think someone texted friends or something like that).
As long as voting is done on Discord, there will be some sort room for manipulation. Something similar happened in the first contest, when one of the participants invited his friends (that had no connection with bitcointalk whatsoever) + bunch of brand new Discord accounts voted for him so (obviously made just for that ocassion) so in the end he shared the first place with me.
The only way to avoid something like that is if only verified accounts (Discord members who are also part of bitcointalk) of certain rank can vote, but I don't know how feasible is to do something like that. Or to have voting done on bitcointalk.
I really don't get this obsession for Discord, why is it so important to vote on Discord rather than using the forum? Simply members with merits can vote, 1-2-3+ merits always count as 1 vote anyway and that's it. Is it perfect? No, but for sure it's easier to "recognize" the users and people can't make new accounts or telling friends that have nothing to do with the forum. We can also add a registration date, for example only users with at least 6 months of posting can vote.
Discord is just a mess and there is plenty of space to cheat, it totally kills the contest.
