I am suprised everyone here is pointing DLS as the reason why GT lost the match. I am confident almost none have watch the match. DLS was the reason why CSK was struggling to chase the target in the last two over.
If you haven't watch the live match go on and watch the highlights. It is available for free on Jio Cinema. DLS was a benefit to GT as per my opinion as in 15 overs it is hard to chase a target of 170+. CSK won because of Sir Jadeja and not because of MSD or any other player.
It depends on how you see it. I saw that GT bowlers and fielders struggling after the rain. I did see them trying to get to stop the run flow in the early overs. I would say CSK was lucky as the four by Jadeja was a luck shot. Mohit Sharma was amazing in controlling the run chase in the last over. I would agree that none of us expected Jadeja to hit a short and not get caught. If you look into his batting hardly he was able to get the ball over a fielder.
The many viewpoints on how DLS affected the result of the match are intriguing to observe. A greater picture of the issue can be gained by watching the live game or the highlights. Given the difficult aim DLS computations would have been advantageous for GT. But Sir Jadeja outstanding play, notably in the final two balls was what gave CSK the victory. He made an unexpected contribution that was crucial to their success. Seeing such unexpected developments in cricket matches is always interesting.
