You should compare the performance and the number of points of City and Liverpool, then you see how big the difference in level is at the moment. I don't believe Liverpool can close that gap in a few months, and I don't think Liverpool will sign many new players this summer. They can, but they won't. I think they need another good striker up front if they want to keep the connection with City.
