Lens have surprised me more than any other team this Ligue 1 season. They played very well all season and finished in second place, just one point behind PSG. That is, they could have been winners if it wasn't for a few upsetting losses. This season was a nervous one for PSG, but they still managed to win first place.
I still have high hopes for Lens next season. What they did was unbelievable. If somebody had told PSG before the beginning of the season that Lens was going to be the team to keep them on their toes in the league, they would have never have believed it.
Lens played well all season. Even when Marseille we're second position, I was certain that Lens would overtake them since they still had like five games to play.
Most people believe that this is a one season wonder, but I don't believe that. I believe Lens would still be good next season. They might not win the league but they will most likely be among the top teams in the league.
PSG would be a better team next season, because I believe they will sit up and get a better coach while signing better players. Messi and Neymer would be leaving so that creates space in the wage bill to get more players because I don't think they'll get players that earn as much as those two.
I think the Lens team will become a very strong team in the next season. Because the team in League One started to perform exceptionally well in the middle of the current season. The team is currently behind PSG in League One.
