For me, I like to see a project that's active on social media to consider them serious. It's from social media I get to feel the pulse and heartbeat of a project to start with. That's one. The second thing is on what platform or market a project is listed or what medium is launching it. The third one is if the project is audited or not, and then I also consider the maximum supply. I don't like investing in projects with huge supply, especially when the launch price is on a high.
While you've mentioned a few things that are important in assessing the future of altcoin projects - but that's no guarantee to make them successful as expected. Even some altcoins previously listed on Binance have the potential to be written off when trading volumes are very low and projects fail to thrive. Cases like this have happened quite often - you can watch their announcements about it.

Here are some reasons why some altcoin could potentially be deslisting from an exchange even though this is a quote from Binance: Delisting.

When we conduct these reviews, we consider a variety of factors. Here are some that drive whether we decide to delist a digital asset:
  • Commitment of team to project
  • Level and quality of development activity
  • Trading volume and liquidity
  • Stability and safety of network from attacks
  • Network / smart contract stability
  • Level of public communication
  • Responsiveness to our periodic due diligence requests
  • Evidence of unethical/fraudulent conduct or negligence.
  • Contribution to a healthy and sustainable crypto ecosystem
