Lens have surprised me more than any other team this Ligue 1 season. They played very well all season and finished in second place, just one point behind PSG. That is, they could have been winners if it wasn't for a few upsetting losses. This season was a nervous one for PSG, but they still managed to win first place.
The quality of the players of Lens team is very good. I think if Lens can perform better then Lens can go to the 1st position very fast. Goalkeeper of Lens team J. Leca performed very well. Goalkeeper of a team plays a big role behind winning the match. A. Claude Maurice This player performs very well in almost every match. Lens team has several players who play a big role in winning every match.
The benefit Lens has right now is that PSG is getting rid of some of their players, we are not going to know 100% all of them for a while longer, but we know Messi is gone, that much we know and there are speculations about some other players as well. Obviously they are going to replace them with some other players as well but we do not know if those players will be better or worse just yet, they need to first get here, train and then start playing so we can see if they are better or not.
I believe that it is going to take a while, but for Lens luck, if the players they get turn out to be not that great and do not provide better results then we could see Lens doing better. But just as well we can see Lens sell some players, be worse, and PSG getting newer better players and be even better, which is the more likely outcome.
