I believe that the game against Manchester United in the FA Cup showed both the strength of Manchester City and especially their midfielders, but also the chance for the opponent to play attacks till the end.
Manchester City have many star players who have played together in many seasons. They digested the philosophy of Pep Guardiola very well too and they are actually a very solid strong team, not only from midfield. Their whole system can play with very high ball possession and in good days, Manchester City don't let the opposition have enough time to breath and in such matches, chances for counter attacks from oppositions is so low.

Inter does have a few guys on board who know how to dribble quickly and they have offenders that are in good form.
Inter Milan don't need to chase the ball and aim at ball possession because it is the strength of Manchester City. They only need their players to find each other within 2 or 3 passes for their counter attacking. It is a very challenging task for Inter Milan players but if their players can find each other in counter attacking, Manchester City will be in danger.

One thing is for sure and that is that Manchester City will have more chances than Inter, but with efficiency Inter is able to shock Manchester City in that game the same way that Manchester United could have shocked them if the last chance hit the target.
Inter Milan tasks will be defending as best as possible, making Manchester City players become as most confident as possible but at the same time more careless defense when the match goes on. If the match has a draw result temporarily, a later a match goes on, a bigger chance for Inter Milan.

This sums it up pretty well and if you want to put it into just a few words, those few words be "they must not concede an early goal". That would open the box for the Manchester City in all regards conceivable. Ball possession, counter attacking themselves, taking time off the clock with 20-30 contacts in a row and no pressure at all at that moment. Inter would have to throw their tactic aboard at some point in time and there is never the right moment to open up against Manchester City. I think this duel is going to be very tactical and Manchester City will press, but only modestly without facing too much counter attack potential. I can't actually wait for the game to start.
