So I ask: where is soccer in Africa evolving?
with so much corruption in soccer in africa, evolution is impossible, in soccer fields in africa only a few big teams can see the fields with many people watching, and the reason is simple: few people have the financial power to buy tickets and go watching the games, it is a sad scenario, corrupt managers do not watch the games, probably they should not even be a fan of any team, in Africa there are still problems of a country not being able to pay the player's salary when he represents the national team, things that they just embarrass africa
African games are unattractive to watch that's one of the reasons we don't have fans watching them, I haven't watched an African game and felt joyous like when I watch the samba boys play football. African and Nigeria football was once like that as we watch Jay Jay okocha play and dribble all round the field. This style influence others players to entertain the fan and still win the match but today all we see is england style of play that's very boring (as we can't play it perfectly as they do). Watch an African game and all you'll see is the ball been shoot from the post to the middle field and the this continued to happen. You can't see the players complete a cycle of passes. All you see is shooting, defending and running.
Only the south African league gives a similar vibe to the samba way of playing that entertains the fans which is why you see people going to watch the games. Corruption is not only an African thing so we have to stop giving excuses. If our football was entraining, the government won't have any excuses to help out the sport. Let me take the entertainment industry as an example, you can see ours are better than some other part of the world and that's because those in charge are delivering when it comes to quality production so they draw in fans and more revenue gets generated which is then use to make the sector up to standards.
