I don’t think a comparison between Ronaldo and Haaland could make any sense. At least not now nor in the nearest future. Ronaldo is a goal scorer. You mentioned he never contributed to the game besides the results. If I may remind you, the result is majorly what matters and how the game is played is irrelevant if the game is ultimately won and Ronaldo helped win a lot of games during his prime.
Admittedly, Ronaldo loves putting himself out there and trying to score goals(and he does score goals) because goals are what matters in a football game. I think there should not be a comparison between Ronaldo and Haaland  just yet as Ronaldo has had a fulfilling and amazing career and Haaland is just starting out.

I agree, it doesn't make much sense to compare
they are totally different players
Ronaldo is a goal-scoring player, he also trains himself with free-kicks
So just two different philosophies and roles
Correct, Ronaldo is a football star, he is considered a fighting machine to break into the opponent's goal and when compared to Haaland, the two are very different.
Ronaldo always gives quite a lot of goals in every league played by his team and winning is the most important thing for Ronaldo, that's why he looks for opportunities more often and shoots to get a goal so his team can win.
Real Madrid, for example, when Ronaldo was still there, he managed to bring Madrid to have several championships and he was one of the core players used by Madrid in every game they would play.
