Inter Milan are not going to prepare for this game with the intention of stopping Haaland from scoring, if you concentrate on only Haaland, City have more than enough players to punish you, Haaland didn't even score against Real Madrid in the SF, but City won 5-1. Haaland has the ability to attract defenders to him, which gives other players the space to penetrate and score. Inter Milan will have to prepare for this game to stop the entire Manchester City team, i am pretty sure they are going to park the bus, they'll surround their box with their players and wait for City to try and break them down, it is not about stopping Haaland, but City.
I haven't seen Inter parking the bus against a team for a long time. They have been used to playing with 3 defenders and an offense-oriented game at the same time. But this must be their toughest match even in the recent years. Manchester City are such a dominant team against even the ones we know as the same. We all witnessed what they did to Real Madrid in the rematch. Real Madrid were just desperate against them after a point. Thinking about that I can't even imagine what Manchester City can do to Inter.
However this is the final stage of course. Both teams will need to play carefully. I think Inter will prioritize zone defense and force their opponent to shots outside the box. But if they still somehow give spaces then Manchester City can break the deadlock earlier and finish the job later on.
