The efforts Liverpool made to end in the top four of this season premiere leagues is quite noticeable and notable to say the least, they indeed tried their best and I personally commend their effort, one thing that I think made them not end the season in the top four is because they woke up from their slumber rather too late, had it been they played from the beginning of the season, like they played towards the end of the season, nothing would have stopped them from ending the season in the top four..,
But like you said, there is still another chance coming for them to try to prove their worth again, the next season is fast approaching, and I also hope they prepare seriously for it, they can go for the title once again like they did go for it in 2019/2020 and got it..
Liverpool tried their best in the second half of the season but they didn't manage to finish in the top 4. To be honest all the fans are upset about that, but they have to respect the team as well as before.
Next season Liverpool is expected to be able to finish in the top 4 even though winning the title is the main goal. This season Nunez hasn't played to his best, and the same goes for Cody Gakpo. Liverpool will be stronger next season even though they have parted ways with Roberto Firmino. Of course Liverpool still have to improve about their squad, I think they have to focus on the midfielders because this season their midfielders haven't looked strong.
