That's the reason why as a gambler we need to know first our self-control and self-limitations. Because there are two effects of gambling the positive one and the negative one and we all aware of that. Cause beyond our limitations then we can not control our self such us we bet out of our plan then that's the time called that that we obsessed with gambling and if we can not control that then it will lead us to addiction.
- When self-control is used correctly, it will followed by self-limitation, therefore losses can be avoided. Because most of the time gambler cannot get rid of the words "I will bet again because I feel that this time I will be right and I will recover my loss" these kinds of thoughts are what drives them that they don't realize they are getting loss continously without noticing it.
In gambling, we cannot avoid losses but we can minimize them. Self-control and self-limitations are indeed needed to be able to gamble responsibly but it is not the solution to avoid losses. If we want to avoid losses then the only thing to do is to avoid gambling.
Then in the end they will say that "I should have stopped betting earlier so I wouldn't have led to a big loss" their regret its too too late.
Yeah when we say regret, it is always at the end. It is the feeling of having the burden of a wrong decision. So if we wanted to avoid it, we must allocate the amount we can afford to lose and control ourselves firmly.
