This makes me think he choose a league that he could settle in without much of the media & the paparazzi on his back as he prepares for retirement, and with Messi leaving Europe this is the end of the CR7-Messi era and time for players like Mbappe,Rashford, Neymar, Halaad etc to step up their game and cement their names to football's record books.

Btw I thought he might have followed CR7 in Saudi Arabia but I think he went for peace and quiet over a fat pay cheque, and its understandable especially that he has his family in the picture.
