I think Inter Milan is going to try disabling Haaland for this match because they are aware of his powers and if they don't put Haaland under pressure one opportunity can be enough for him to change the game.
Yes, you’re right. Obviously, they would want to try and guard tightly Haaland who is known and good at suddenly opening up to receive passes/crosses and being able to finish off beautifully. Inter Milan knows he’s a danger man and would try to keep him closely marked at all times.
But I doubt that would make any difference in the game as Manchester City doesn’t depend wholly on the abilities of Haaland as there are other players who, when with the ball are equally dangerous and capable of scoring goals as well. Inter Milan do need to be prepared to face a tough competition.
Keeping Haaland tight will not be enough to silence the Man City attack. Because Man City's forward players actually have almost even skills, that is, they can always endanger the opponent's defense.
