Not looking good! I was expecting a century from Rahane. He did his job, while the top order failed. How long Thakur and Yadav will be able to stay is a big question now. India need to stay till the end of day 3 and need a score of more than 300 if they want to draw this match.
India have already lost eight wickets so it is not possible for them to survive for three days as they have only two wickets left.  And meanwhile they need 189 more runs to meet the target. India is a good team but cannot compete with Australia.  Australia put India under a lot of pressure on the first day. And they haven't overcome that pressure yet and it doesn't seem like they will be able to in this Test match.

Thanks to Rahane and Shardul Thakur's excellent partnership, India managed to collect 296 runs. It was quite a good collection. The top-order players' performances have been terrible, but Shardul, Rahane and Jadeja have batted well. As usual, the Australian team did not start their second innings well. They lost 3 wickets very quickly. And now Australia has collected 99 runs after losing 3 wickets. Australia is leading by 272 runs. A target of more than 400 will not be difficult for Australia. And I think if the gate is like 450 then Australia will win easily.
India lags far behind Australia in first INN. and 2nd INN starts here Australia scored 103 runs and lost 3 wickets already.  But I don't think it will be a big problem even if Australia plays a bit poorly in 2nd INN as they are way ahead of India in 1st INN which will support them in 2nd INN. Australia has been playing much better than India in Test matches and so far there is a lot of potential for Australia to win Test matches
