I don't think Manchester United will do worse in next season. I mean they started this season horribly and lost a lot of games. It was a shocking start for everyone. Ten Hag after few games was able to limit the damage and started making the team win again. He failed to let them be the first, that's obvious but next season they need to get some players to make the team better especially fixing well the defence line and preferably get ride of their "best" defenders for the sake of success.
Can't say they will underperform next season. Because manchester united closed the season in 3rd place and that's a pretty good achievement for them and I think they are more excited for next season. it's just that we will see the signing of the player that erik ten hag will do in the next season transfer window because some of the gaps in weaknesses must be fixed in the transfer window. If he gets good quality players I think their strength will be stronger next season.
One of the factors in Manchester United progress this season is the big reshuffle made by Erik Ten Hag. I think he has to do it again in this transfer window. Manchester United will have a busier schedule because they will be playing in the Champions League. I make sure their pattern of play must always be consistent from the start of the season to the end of the season.
