Sad to see India in such a horrible state at the moment. They still have a chance if they can restrict the Australians to below 400 which looks really, really tough at the moment.
Absolutely still India has a chance to get back into the game as because now Australia lead by 296 runs while they lose most of his Mian player and especially previous inning performers, now Australian scored 123 by just lose his 4th wicket, if the current two set batter scored above 300 then it will be just like impossible to win for India because lead will be raised to above 500 and due to current performance indian batter did look confident and also lack of understanding about pitch also put them in really big trouble just like things done in previous inning, so no India should take much more possible wicket to put down Thier moral and get into the game..
India have got little chance to get back into the game and hope for a draw. Australia team have already scored 123/4 which for India is good, but the lead is already close to 300 runs. With Labuschagne, Green, Alex Carey, Cummins left behind surely we can expect another 100 runs from Australia. If things go well Australia could set a target of 450+ runs for sure. In such situation it'll really hard for India to chase, but Australia have the power packed bowling lineup that could defend. Also the highest fourth innings run chase in the history of test cricket is 418 runs.
Maybe it’s time to break the history? With the score 123/4, I think Australia will be easily able to mange 180+ runs more. So yeah the target will be atleast 500 runs to be honest. And India will have hardly a day and one session to chase the score. The chase seems very hard, but in cricket anything and everything is possible. If India’s mindset is not about winning the match, then they will try really hard to atleast draw the match and share the trophy with Australia. Today the result will become more clear.
