Litecoin has the potential to have a higher market price and is not a coin to be considered dead. It is one of the early and biggest coins in this industry. But if it is surpassing the market value of Bitcoin, I highly doubt of it. In every uptrend, Bitcoin is leading the way and other coins are just following.
Litecoin is dead. What makes you think if litecoin will able to surpass bitcoin? I meant it has no further development anymore. Litecoin is still exist caused by bitcoin. it's done man for litecoin even in another thread many people talking about litecoin halving and it means nothing.

It will not give impact to the price of litecoin.
As long as a coin is having volume, then that means it is still alive and there's still a possibility for its market price to go up. Its development on the other hand is the reason why its market value won't or struggling to multiply as much as others but an increase in the market value is the minimum. Check its chart and you'll see. Since it is one of the biggest, I guess its will also be able to recover on the next bullrun.
Volume was only coming from the speculators and not actual users. Since any tokens can be used as payment system and there's no reason to use litecoin anymore. It's a live caused by it's relying on bitcoin and no more. Litecoin doesn't have development progress anymore.
The owner of litecoin has been leaving from this coin since he was getting lots of money from there. Litecoin doesn't even have money for further development.
Once upon a time litecoin was believed to become one of the most important coins in this market, as some saw in bitcoin the equivalent of gold and they saw in litecoin the equivalent of silver, so those people expected that bitcoin will become a store of value rarely used on transactions while litecoin became the most widely used coin.

But those days are far behind us and since then it seems litecoin has failed to fulfill its potential, and with this in mind any idea that litecoin could outperform bitcoin during the next months or years seems unfounded.
