I think the casino already has a clever way of stopping us from going overboard, it's called our bankroll. Yup, that wad of cash you set aside for gambling is like a built-in stop loss. It's the designated sum you're willing to put on the line without crying yourself to sleep if you lose it all.

And as for the timer, I don't think that would work. Sure, setting a timer might sound like a good idea in theory. But let's be honest, when you're caught up in the thrill of the game, time becomes this elusive concept. Minutes feel like seconds, and hours disappear like magic. So, instead of relying on a timer, it's better to have a solid plan in place. Set your bankroll, as I mentioned earlier, and stick to it.

And the money we bring into gambling is money that we are already willing to spend, which will profit the casino. But if we can be responsible while playing gambling, we don't need to be afraid that we will run out of money because we will stop before the money runs out. But people who want more wins will not think so because they will use their money to chase other wins.

And it's only a matter of time before to see them take defeats they wouldn't even imagine because they were already over their budget of money that they could afford. This makes them regret knowing that they have lost their money. And we indeed have to set a bankroll before starting to gamble.
