I think Barcelona has thought about this because they got tickets to the champions league which is putting pressure on Barcelona to get transfers of new players who can give good performance for Barcelona. if compared with last year I think Barcelona has not had any changes and it's still the same it's just that they haven't been able to find a replacement for Messi who was once a leading player at Barcelona.

Even in the last years, I remember Barcelona had good midfielders but they didn't have very good forwards and their team was not dependent on the forwards they have, they usually score goals by using the midfielders they had.
This season Lewandoski was a good performance but I think if Barcelona wants to hire new players they definitely need to hire a young forward to take his place for the next season.
The peak of Barcelona heyday was when the midfielder was filled with famous names such as Xavi Hernandez, Iniesta and Busquets, while the strikers were filled with Messi, Neymar and Suarez. When all of the names above were no longer part of the Barcelona squad, it was obvious that Barcelona quality has declined which made it difficult for them to compete in the trophy hunt.

Xavi presence in the coaching chair has made a good contribution to Barcelona, although his experience as a coach is still very minimal, he has managed to build a Barcelona squad to challenge Real Madrid in the title race. Recruiting Lewandowski was one of the best purchases in the Xavi era, Lewandowski managed to be an important part in Barcelona success in winning two trophies this season, also managed to become the top scorer in his first season defending Barcelona.
Xavi Barcelona squad managed to achieve success in La Liga, but they failed to compete in the UCL. Next season there will be new purchases made by Barcelona so they can show their quality in the UCL.
