Neymar actually said a long time ago that he was thinking of retirement in the near future. The reason why was that he was like bored of playing football professionally. I remember myself reading this news exactly in the past. However he still continued after that like nothing happened. He had really impressive and promising stats this season as well. But he got injured once again and didn't surprise anyone. Everybody knows now how injury-prone he is. It is an inevitable fact to accept for him.

This situation can even be some hindrance for him to be transferred by another big team. At least if he can lower his salary expectation by some percentage then it might be more sensible to sign him. But still his market price is quite high too - I don't know if PSG would demand a very big amount though.
