Saudi Arabia are trying to attract as much known players and coaches as possible. It is curious the amount of money they are ready to spend to achieve that dream. I assume those coming to that league have to give them a hand in developing football but also promoting their candidature in hosting World Cup.
Saudi arabia has a target to become the host for the world cup 2030. That's the main target why saudi arabia clubs are interesting to sign a lot of players right now. It's caused by saudi arabia is trying so hard to make its country to become a host for the world cup.
Saudi needs more exposure to make sure its country will able to make it. That's why some big tranfers have been made by the clubs from this countries.
I do remember that if there was a thread in twitter said that if 4 top clubs in saudi arabia has been owned by the same owner (saudi public investment funds). I think that the ambition from saudi arabia to become the host for world cup is really big.
Qatar gets so many exposure caused by it has been successfully hosted the previous world cup. Saudi arabia wants it to happen with its country.
So many star players being signed to give more attention if saudi arabia is good enough to be used as a host for the next world cup.
