Football is fascinating because it includes all of the events that one wishes to see, such as the UCL final, which I would not forgive myself if I missed. Place my wager in favor of City, and I go home happy because making 3x my initial deposit was worthy of being triggered. Manchester City have won the Premier League, FA cup title and finally their first ever Champions league trophy, after defeating Inter Milan in the final. Unfortunately for the Nerazzurri and other Italian clubs, qualifying for a series of finals and failing to return home victorious, Inter Milan did their best just to return to Stadio Giuseppe Meaza with the trophy, but I guess it wasn't their lucky day to win.
A final match is fascinating enough with many twists from De Bruyne injury, the goal from Rodri, wasted chance from Lautaro Martinez and very last twists from Di Marco and Lukaku, also almost perfect handle from Foden.

It's another sad day for Serie A with another club failed in another final match. All three clubs, AS Roma, Fiorentina and Inter Milan failed but having three clubs in three finals is already a success. If Serie A can continue this trend, the league will return to be one of strongest leagues in Europe again. I hope so but Italian clubs must improve their finance first and latest years, more clubs successfully constructed their own stadiums which are surely one of their biggest income in future.

I agree that it is a sad day, but maybe the tone of your post is a bit too pessimistic. Inter Milan played and outstanding game and as you said all those teams reaching the finals is a very positive result overall. Of course as an individual club or player or also the fans going home with empty hands never feels good. But looking back who would have thought that three Italian teams are in three European finals of the different competitions and who would have thought that Inter Milan was about to beat Manchester City not with luck, but because they even had the better chances? It might be a sad day as you said, but not a sad year if you sum up everything Italian teams achieved.
