We can't judge Sevilla about their place in La Liga because they didn't focus on the league games and they didn't need the La Liga games to earn points at all in the last games because they couldn't reach the top of the table and on the other hand, Sevilla wanted to win the Europa League and they have enough hope for it because of the last wins the had in Europa League.
Many people still can't separate domestic league from European ones. Sevilla and West Ham are not that top in their leagues at all. Sevilla finished twelve and West Ham in the fourteenth position, yet they won Europa League and Conference League vs Italian teams that are classified better than them in the ranking.
Sevilla particularly are a hard number in Europa League, they are like nightmare for the teams facing them there!

Sevilla and West Ham were aiming to do well in the Europa League and Conference League respectively. And only qualifying for their own league. The Sevilla team's performance was very poor in La Liga. The team was also in the relegation zone for a long time. But they performed well in every Europa League match. As their target was the Europa League. They have succeeded in achieving the goal. Although big teams like Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United play in Europe League, they cannot win the title.
It is interesting to observe how Sevilla's performance in the Europa League starkly contrasts their performance in La Liga. Despite their struggles domestically, they have managed to shine brightly on the European stage. The fundamental question here is: Does the domestic league matter as much when they are making strides in Europe's elite competitions?

Their triumph in the Europa League not only grants them the prestige of the title but also a ticket to the Champions League, which is a highly esteemed competition globally. This could well be part of a strategic long-term plan that Sevilla has adopted, prioritizing European success over domestic performance.
