Pep has always been the man to win the champions league this season and it all went well in his favor, but the problem is that all 3 Italian teams went into the finals and lost all. Is something to worry about, although Inter played better than the other 2 teams, talking about Fiorentina and Roma.
Inter tried but they didn't come out to play City, they just try to use the counter attack on City which didn't work and the Inter Milan side wasn't fast to capitalize their opportunity.
To be frank with you guys, this season wasn't a season for the Italian teams, I can't see them (Seria A teams) getting this far next season.

I'm not surprised. Man City's quality has been evident from the start. They have star players with fantastic salaries. Although this is the first UCL trophy for Pep with Man City. Even for Inter I didn't predict that they could get to the Final. Inter are having an incredible season. Despite being poor in Serie A, they were able to perform well in the UCL. I think it's a good result for them. Inter became the underdog club and they made it to the Final. Good achievement for them.  Inzagi needs to stay at Inter, they only need additional players in a few positions.
Indeed, Manchester City superiority and calibre have been obvious all season. They have repeatedly demonstrated their strength on the pitch thanks to a team that includes star players and earns high wages. Even though Manchester City under Pep Guardiola won the UEFA Champions League for the first time reaching the final was long delayed. However Inter surprising run to the championship game has been nothing short of amazing. Despite their difficulties in Serie A they overcame all odds and established themselves as the underdog club of the competition by finding their groove in the champions League. This accomplishment which demonstrates the tenacity and resiliency of Antonio Conte team should not be undervalued. In terms the future Inter would be wise to keep Simone Inzaghi as their manager and concentrate on bolstering the team in a few crucial spots. They have the capacity to build on their achievements and compete at the highest level once more with appropriate additions.
