Still very and unsportsmanlike that Mourniho decided to throw away his medal. Would he have picked it up afterwards? That lucky finder could become rich at an auction. But maybe that's typical for Mourinho, he just wants to win and is no longer satisfied with 2nd places. In competition it is a different story. He will be especially disappointed that he is not allowed to play CL with AS Roma now, because in the competition they have only qualified for the El or maybe even COnference kleague. A big difference.
The European League final match had several controversial refereeing decisions so it was only natural that Mourinho and/or other AS Roma players could not accept the final result of the match. But yes, if we put this case aside, as a team and/or player and also a professional coach, then they should be able to accept whatever result has been decided. Even though later there is still something to be debated about, but for such an award, they should be able to accept it even if only by force.
Jose Mourinho lost a European final for the first time in his career. This must have been pretty sad for him. Mourinho's medal case is not the first time. Mourinho was angry with the foreign substance thrown from the stands in the Arsenal match and he threw his second place medal into the stands. This time in anger of losing in the final, he gave the medal to someone else. What arrogance. I don't think there is a second place in your life. Even if we are right in life things may not turn out the way we want. I think Roma was treated unfairly in the final game and a grand final was ruined by ridiculous refereeing decisions. The referee had a very clear effect on the fate of the match with penalties not given and wrong decisions. Sevilla has more UEFA titles than league titles. Winning the trophy in a very difficult season for Sevilla will almost resurrect them.
