~snip~
Next season will be a new challenge for Xavi, he will be tested in the Champions League as the most prestigious competition on the European continent. The current squad has been proven capable of giving trophies to Barcelona, but Xavi needs to bring in a few more players so that his team can provide competition in the Champions League.
Can they still buy players? After spending incredible money last season. Not to mention that with the salary list of each player, they will need a lot of money. It looks like it could violate FFP rules. This season Barcelona proved a failure for the UCL, with the same player Xavi may need to improve the mentality of the players. Rumours Messi will return, it looks like it could help them in the UCL. But now that won't happen, it looks like Xavi has to look for non-star players with good games and low prices.
It looks like Barcelona can't do it, but if they can sell one of their players then maybe they can buy another player. At the moment, Barcelona is still confused about finding new players and with the strict rules of FPP it could get them back in trouble. But I think the current Barcelona squad is capable enough to be able to hunt for the La Liga title next season, it's just that if they can compete for the champions league it seems they still can't do it because it's been proven enough that with two consecutive seasons they failed to prove it and had to be willing to go down to the European league.
The Barcelona team made an incredible comeback this season from the previous season and managed to secure the La Liga title. If coach Xavi adds some new players this time, we can hope that this team will be able to compete in the Champions League in the next season.
In La Liga, Barcelona had made a comeback at the start of the season and they were very confident of being able to shift Real Madrid's position to become La Liga champions this season, which was a good result. For next season's champions league, it is certain that Barcelona can do it, but if they are to advance to the quarter-finals, they are still unable to. New players are indeed very important for Barcelona because they are still having a hard time winning with a landslide score like the previous season and I think they will repeat the same thing if in that situation. And as I said above, maybe the only way for Barcelona to achieve this is to sell one of their star players so they can buy 2 or 3 new players to strengthen their attack line.
For now it seems that Barcelona is still lacking the best players and if you have to sell top players just to get 2 or 3 players I don't think it will be a guarantee for the future Barcelona will be stronger in the next season even in the champions league.
But if the management is able to figure out how to get new players without having to sell top players I think that will be more effective and guarantee more performance improvement in the season to come.
Barcelona selling their top players won't help them In their competition next season. Barcelona needs to retain their  old players and to sign any player to support the Old players in getting a better performance in La Liga and Champions League next season. Barcelona shouldn't be too comfortable wuth the championship they won in La Liga but they need to prepare themselves better next season compilations.
