]i don't think Barcelona are still in a bad financial state, they were still able to bring multiple players and not for that cheap, it doesn't look like they are having troubles financially at all.

Seeing the rubbish you advertise in your signature, what you think doesn't have much credibility.

Barcelona had tremendous economic problems at the beginning of the season that they temporarily saved in a headlong rush, mortgaging part of their future. Having won the league, the problems have been alleviated but not solved. I translate part of an article:

Can Newcastle solve FC Barcelona's financial problems?

Quote
Even with serious financial problems, FC Barcelona will have to sell for more than €100m in order to balance the books. A figure that could be almost completed by a big sale, such as that of Raphinha. Newcastle, who will play in the next edition of the Champions League, are not forgetting the Brazilian.
Indeed, for this season Barcelona has a bad experience in his finances, even though he came out as a champion this season, it could not cover their deficit finances.
If Barcelona wants to improve the opening, the option is to sell a number of players to cover it up, selling Rafinha might be a solution, but Rafinha is still sufficiently needed as an attacking midfielder, middle, wing with other or other he has multi -functional in various positions.

I think the fact that they had such a great defense even for that long was something unexpected by many. Araujo was a "decent" player last season but wasn't this amazing, he was near perfect this season, Kounde was new and didn't expected to fit this perfectly neither, Ter stegen is getting older, Balde a youth player that nobody expected to even play this many games let alone be good, all in all there were nobody that really shine through the list and yet they played amazingly well together.

Rest of the team wasn't all that bad neither, maybe UCL happened early enough on the season that they weren't used to the tactic yet, if they can keep the core of the team together they might be a lot better next season, not expecting them to win UCL but at least will be out of group stages this time around.
But my view, although basically Barcelona has new and young players in their defense, we really don't know how new players in Bacelona will adapt well or not, but I really believe the decision taken by Xavi is a strategy to strengthen Barcelona.
And it seems that next season, if the core players in Barcelona are still with the same person, most likely next season will be dominated by Barcelona, considering that Real Madrid as the strongest rivals they do not have a solid coomposition , of course it will make Real Madrid fangs disappear.
