Even if they qualify for the finals, the Serie A teams will be far behind the Premier League teams.

Inter Milan lost to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final, while AS Roma lost to Sevilla in the European League final.

Of the 3 finals that placed representatives of Serie A, all of the finals ended in defeat, actually that is a good development, but from those 3 defeats, Serie A should be even better.
The defeat in 3 European finals might be a little bad for representatives from Italy but if you look at the past few seasons I think this season the Serie A teams are much better.
Inter Milan who lost in the UCL final against Man City was not so bad, Inter put up a fierce fight, Fiorentina and AS Roma also narrowly lost in the final, these three teams have played well it seems they were a little unlucky in my opinion, it's really a shame .
now Serie A competition is getting more competitive and so it is very possible for Serie A teams to increase in the next season.
