Maybe it will be a little difficult for Man United to get rid of Maguire because he still has a strong desire to get his position back. There are rumors that Tottenham and West Ham have an interest in Maguire. But, the signing can only occur if the person concerned is willing to leave Man United. I also had time to read on the mirror page that Harry Maguire wanted to remain in his Manchester United uniform even though in the 2022/2023 season the former Leicester City player did not get many playing minutes due to his poor performance in guarding Manchester United's defense.
Maguire should be as realistic as you say because if he wants to keep his place in Manchester United's line-up it will be useless.
I agree with you, it is appropriate for Maguire to consider offers from clubs who are interested in getting him even though it is still just a rumor in order to maintain a position in the England national team squad.
