Brighton and Aston Villa are the two lucky teams due to the declining performance of Chelsea and West Ham. The Premier League situation will be different next season, Chelsea is slowly starting to shape its squad to be even better, while West Ham will improve its performance by bringing in several quality players after winning the Europa Conference League trophy.
Title-challenging teams will make major overhauls ahead of next season's competition, the increasing strength of the team makes the competition for trophies more competitive. I am very interested in how Newcastle have made a splash by coming into the top four, the money power that Newcastle have allows them to move freely in the transfer market. Only teams that are able to maintain their performance will survive in the top four, while big teams that perform below standard will be in danger of being absent from European competition.
I wouldn't get my hopes up about some of the mid-table teams competing in the Premier League next season if they don't invest a lot of money in their players. Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham are some of the teams that might be expected to compete in the top four besides Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Arsenal are expected to be much better than last season, especially in the race for the title, but Liverpool and Chelsea look to be tough challengers again besides Manchester City and Manchester United. Manchester City are the favourites, I always thought that.
