At his age I think that like it or not Manchester City already have plenty of options to replace Gundogan. With the support of funds and having players above average in individual skills it is not a big problem if Pep Guardiola loses him. Gundogan has contributed a lot and now he has the right to decide. Manchester City have won maximum trophies in every competition and next season's targets will definitely continue to be expanded. Apart from Gundogan maybe Pep has been thinking about this for a long time. Clubs that want to take Gundogan will definitely have to make a bet with the condition that they are no longer young.
No doubt Manchester City has a lot of players in their arsenal but you would agree with me that Gundogan was also instrumental in the club's treble glory this season and they want to reward him for his performance and contribution with an improved 1 year extension deal. This might not be much compared to what the Arabians are offering but I don't think it's actually time for him to call it quit in europe.
Premier league is now more competitive than before as the fight for the top 10 in the league is very tough and most of the underrated teams are performing well than before. Next season will be a more exciting and challenging season in the premier league than before.
I just can't wait for next season to kick off. The competition will be intense, and the league is going to be tougher. Gone are those days when it used to be big 4, now we have Arsenal coming in after missing out of top 4 finish for some years, Newcastle establishing their place after more than 2 decades of absence, Manchester United taking their place back after a year of absence. The only consistent team so far is Manchester City, they have been finishing in the top 4 place in the last 10 years. Liverpool and Chelsea are also in the picture and they will be fighting for a comeback, so the fight for the EPL tittle and top for finish is going to be fierce.
