If a person puts his girlfriend on a large monthly stipend, regardless of whether they are together or not in the future, that's progress, right? /s
You could not say that he is "paying" for her 'services', but how would you characterize the situation?
"friends with a 'long term' interest"?
"gf with a dividend"?
Maaan, something is not exactly right here, methinks.
