Since the project now failed in a way it could indeed have consequences in the long run. The players that joined PSG in recent years thought that they will become a part of a project that will dominate the European soccer for many years and frequently win the Champions League with Mbappe, Neymar and Messi, but quite the opposite was the case. When PSG now reaches out to players the only enticement they have in their repertoire now is money. It will all be about the money. There is no Messi anymore and soon there will be no Mbappe. When players now go there it is not because they are playing with the best players in the world, but because they get paid more at PSG than elsewhere.
Football is changing, PSG is not the only club where they can pay more, and you are right now it is clear that the team is going through a stage when players are disillusioned with the club and are trying to find another place where they can realize their goals. Perhaps in the off-season, PSG will once again bring together star players, but they have done it so many times and now it's all over again, it doesn't look like it can bring them the desired result.
In fact, not only high fees are a priority for players to be able to join the club, but the management and road map are also other reasons that are also considered by the players. I certainly don't doubt the financial side of PSG, they are one of the richest teams in the world, but I see that there is another side that makes PSG's achievements look stagnant.
I see that the management side of PSG must be completely overhauled because they are not able to work optimally. They should be able to learn from Manchester City, who built their squad and targets very neatly. That is, when PSG were able to bring in Messi and collaborate with Mbappe and Neymar but they were not supported by a coach who had equal experience, PSG management should not have Galtier as a coach to handle them. I think the result of the lack of clarity in managing the team has made players uncomfortable living in Paris and reluctant to extend their contracts. So I really hope that the owners of PSG will evaluate all of their management so that Les Parisens can realize their dream in the Champions League.
I have a very different opinion for what’s to come from PSG this season because once they lose Mbappe for good I believe that they’ll focus on bringing young French player’s and start developing them and then occasionally buy a star player to balance the squad. Furthermore I feel that PSG won’t splash the money this season as I’m sure that they have realised their mistake that spending big money doesn’t always guarantee success.
