I think Shaq being as dominant as he was on the paint makes him better than any big men I have ever seen in my life. I haven't seen Kareem or Bill or Wilt because they were before my time and seen a few videos at the time but that doesn't mean that I am going to end up seeing Jokic and think he is better than Shaq was. He was unstoppable and you knew what he would do and yet you couldn't stop him.

Teams literally got 3-4 big guys just to put them behind him and foul him, think about it, teams literally built their roster around Shaq, nobody is doing that for Jokic, and will never do because that's not his style but that's the difference. Jokic is amazing don't get me wrong, he is a top 20-30 player of all time even right now, and he still has career left, but I won't put him above Shaq.

That's an interesting discussion right there. Shaq did indeed warp whole defenses back in the day. He did win four rings, so rating him above Joker is not that controversial. O'Neal wouldn't have it as easy nowadays though. There is a lot more shooting all around the league, zone defense is legal. While Shaq would be a pain to cover, he'd have issues on defense - teams would just put him into pick and roll after pick and roll and force him to defend in space.
