Hopefully Newcastle can replicate the form of last season as they go into this season. I hope the Board will recognise the need to build a squad capable of competing on a European and domestic front next season.
Their progress is faster than expected because they only need one season and a half to join top four. That is a very speedy progress of a new rich club and before Newcastle United, we witnessed Chelsea and Manchester City needed a few seasons to gradually increase their positions in Premier League to top four.

They’re now in the UCL and that’s an advantage they have to attract whosoever they want. They don’t really have that depth to compete in the many competitions that would come next season, so they need to get Eddie Howe these signings to be able to compete among the other teams in all competitions. He’s shown that he’s capable and what’s left now is the support he needs in the transfer window.
Being eligible for Champions League is both advantage and challenge for Newcastle United. The advantage is with that ticket to Champions League, they will be able to convince more star players to join their club in coming months. Challenge is they will have to cope with a difficulty to diversify their power and resources for Premier League and Champions League in a new season.

If they successfully to maintain their position in top four in a new season, they will become stronger in future because each season passes, they will have more experience for playing in both Champions League and Premier League. It will also help their club to have better finance with income from Champions League.
