The age limit placed on people below 18 year to keep them away frim gambling have not been most effective as we have hard records of under age gambling in many place and this is a pointer that casino has indeed misolaced their primary responsibility which is to prevent that from happening and that is why there is need for KYC.
The underage of 18 years old is a part of the reasons why KYC is compulsory on most online casinos but not all online casinos requires KYC verification, there is freebitco and others like this platform that underage kids can gamble on. They can also passed the KYC if they can get a hold of their elder brothers ID or even their parents, unless the online casino has the latest KYC style that ask for your selfie live.

Unless the casino will do that for sure it serves the purpose of KYC, but like what you mentioned it can easily be hack by minors especially
those who knows how to play with the system.

They can easily submit other's ID's and pretend to be them and continue enjoying playing, with the knowledge that they can acquire online.

It's very possible that those young folks can work it out even there's already a KYC requirement.

Not with a selfie while holding the ID and a piece of paper with the name of the casino on it.  Aside from that some casinos even ask for a short video call to get a screenshot of the player holding the ID and the paper to verify the validity of the document submitted.  So it isn't that easy to circumvent the KYC procedure.

When it comes to age verification, I agree that casino should perform KYC so that minors are filtered out and stop them from accessing the gambling platform.

My advice for upcoming gamblers reading this thread today, always makes sure you gamble like a responsible man. Remember where you came from and think about your children and family.

Does this advice really actually matter?

In my opinion I will say that this type of generic advices do not really matter as they do not make any impact or have any positive effect on people.
  • TO A NEWBIE:
The first question should be why will someone who has not been gambling before decide to gamble now? Is it that gambling is a new technology the newbie want to explore? No! It simply means that the newbie had already made up his mind to win big like his friend.  At this point of decision being made, the newbie will scroll pass any post condeming his decision
  • TO AN ADDICT
A gambling addict will be able to read your advice but they cannot practice it. Addiction is hard to handle by people who sees the addict physically, let alone a mare write up online. Most gambling addicts are remorseful and had vowed at one point or the other not to gamble but they are already gone deep. It takes far more than an article to cure addiction.

It somehow some impact where the method is to remind the gambler about his family if the gambler is being hooked on gambling and forgetting about his responsibility to his family.  Many irresponsible people are awakened and changed to being responsible family members by simply reminding them about their family and the person's love to his family is often effective in making them do the right decision awhen they are on the wrong path.
