the Saudi Pro League is just going to be a pretty highly competitive league in Asia nothing more, and if anyone is touting that they could be one of the best leagues in the world it's bullshit. Bringing old players to their league is clearly the goal only to increase the value of their country and league so they can win the 2030 World Cup election. And if there are young players who go there, of course because they don't get good offers from big clubs, it could be because of their skills is average but if at the same time get an offer from one of the clubs in Europe which is quite competitive of course these young players will choose Europe, the Saudi pro league is suitable for players who have got a lot of achievements and it's time to earn more money, and I quite doubt they will continue to do the same thing for the next ten years because of course it will be seen whether it provides benefits or not.
I do agree that they can't be one of the best leagues just by paying so much for old players, but at the same time that doesn't mean they won't be watched. That's the whole point isn't it?
It's not that they need to be "better" than the other leagues, they just need to be watched more, right now no other league could afford to pay players this much, which means players could leave and play in those clubs for a lot of money, all the older players knows about this and they may end up doing it, which means a lot of known names being there eventually, even if we just have small amount right now, they are famous, and in the future we may have a lot more famous people going there. All of this is so that SA league would be watched a lot more in the future.
