There are reports that Arsenal are seeking to make Declan Rice & Romeo Lavia their new midfield for next season. Honestly, this makes sense if this is true. Lavia is young and can understudy Partey. Maybe Arsenal are not that advanced with Lavia as they are with Declan Rice, but are seen as his most likely next club. I feel Arteta knows that his young Arsenal side were occasionally outmatched physically in last season’s run-in and has sought to bolster the power of his side. This type of business makes sense to me and I wish they can finalize it as soon as possible.
For Rice I seem pretty sure about Arsenal but for Romeo Lavia I still haven't heard too much of these rumours because as far as I know he is one of the players that Chelsea and Liverpool are fighting over but not Arsenal.
On the other hand, there is actually news about Caicedo, but it seems that now he prefers Chelsea and maybe this is also one of the reasons if Romeo Lavia is targeted by Arsenal because indirectly they will definitely lose rivals in the race for players.
Mbappe 100% wants to stay for another year and leave, that's his stance and we understand it, he has said it literally himself, there is no doubt about that part. The stand points of both sides are decided already, we just don't know what can be done about it.
PSG also wants him to either extend or they will sell him, no intention of sending him away for free, so either he extends or he will be sold, that's also understood. But on this case, what could PSG do if he doesn't leave? I mean if he refuses to leave, then there isn't much they can do about him, just bench him all year long? I do not think so, fans would be mad, the whole world would question that. If he wants to stay one more year, PSG will have to stuck it up and just let him play for another year and then leave.
Now maybe we'll just see how he does next season.
Mbappe has said that he will remain in Ligue 1 until his contract expires, indicating that the chance to leave is also very large. With the current conditions it is like a tug of war between PSG and Mbappe.
Fans will definitely question that but on the other hand most will also criticize Mbappe for his decision to leave and I'm sure it happened. Not meaning to belittle PSG fans, but indeed this season we have seen a lot that they are militants who don't even hesitate to attack their own players and that is actually quite regrettable for a fanbase of a big club.
