Ronaldo's move to Al Nasser was a tremendous grab for Saudi, and I believe it opened the door for great clubs in the league to begin making acquisitions from European football. Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabia, other Saudi clubs have been trying hard to sign big stars from Europe.  Like a few days ago Al-Hilal offered a huge amount of money to bring Lionel Messi to their team but they finally failed to bring Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia. Al-Hilal failed to bring Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia but another Saudi club Al Ittihad took Karim Benzema to their club. Ronaldo Messi Karim Benzema was not limited to these three Saudi clubs. Neymar was also offered a big sum to join the Saudi League but Neymar refused the offer.
The impact Cristiano Ronaldo move to Saudi Arabia has had on the league and the fervour among Saudi clubs to attract more European stars is interesting to watch. The latest reports regarding Al Hilal audacious attempt to sign Lionel Messi must have generated a lot of enthusiasm among football fans in the area. Al Hilal made every attempt to catch up with their pursuers but they were unsuccessful. However when Al Ittihad was able to sign Karim Benzema adding to the already star studded squad in the league the Saudi Arabian football scene underwent a dramatic change. Neymar received a sizable offer to join the Saudi League therefore other players must have been drawn by the glamour of playing alongside Ronaldo Messi and Benzema. However it appears that Neymar devotion to his present team and dedication to them won out as he chose to turn down the alluring offer. These achievements demonstrate Saudi clubs increased ambition and financial strength as they work to establish themselves on the world football stage.
